There is still time to sign-up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (Obamcare).  Be sure to get your appointment BEFORE the March 31st deadline, to be sure you do not get hit with the penalty. Call GADC 773.483.3696 or stop by 7901 S. Racine to get appointment to be signed up! Bring with you all the following paperwork: 

  • Social Security Numbers (SS cards or document numbers for legal immigrants)  
  • Proof of Residency (Drivers license or utility bill with your address)
  • Employer and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage (for example, from pay stubs or W-2 forms-Wage and Tax Statements)  
  • Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household

Today, President Obama announced a new initiative to support America’s young men of color, acknowledging that the future prosperity of our nation is tied to the success of all our young people. This announcement is an important milestone in a movement that has been growing over the last 20 years and we are excited to be a part of it through our partnership with The Atlantic Philanthropies.

Prison Blues: IMAN and UC MSA partner with Ta’leef Collective to present a new documentary

IMAN and the University of Chicago, Muslim Students Association are partnering with the Ta’leef Collective to present Prison Blues, a new documentary from Mustafa Davis, this Friday, February 21 @ 7 PM, Mandel Hal,  at 1131 E. 57th St., University of Chicago, Reynolds Club. A panel discussion, including IMAN Executive Director, Rami Nashashibi, and leaders, Rafi Peterson, Dr. Rolanda West and sister Amina Mathews, will follow the documentary presentation.
