100K Opportunities Initiative CHICAGO – Jobs Youth 16-24

The 100,000 Opportunities Initiative is an effort that is committed to helping young adults who are not in school find jobs and get connected to employment services and resources. National Women’s Veterans United of Illinois (NWVU) Ribbon Cutting On July 25

Women veterans in Illinois now have their own community center.  City, state and community leaders joined members of “National Women Veterans United” to cut the ribbon for the Illinois Community Women Veteran’s Center in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood. The Center is located at 7907-09 South Racine Chicago, IL 60620.

ComEd Opens Satellite Sites to Help Continue Administering Financial Assistance Amid Social Services Shut Down

ComEd today announced it has activated its plan to help continue administering its CARE programs, which provides customers in need with financial assistance to pay their electric bills. As a result of state budget issues some social services agencies like CEDA, which administered ComEd’s CARE program, have been shut down.
