Congratulations To Our Neighborhood Heroes!

Greetings! Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS) held its Annual Meeting and Neighborhood Leadership Awards program, “NHS @ 40: Deep Roots, Still Growing” on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Bridgeport Art Center.
 
The event was attended by over 300 partners, volunteers, community leaders and neighborhood residents.  The evening’s program showcased nine Neighborhood Heroes and celebrated NHS’ accomplishments.

Whole Foods Market is partnering with the City and the Greater Englewood Community Development Corporation to host a three series workshop forum for small businesses.  These workshops will help minimize the barriers of starting a business and to help businesses explore the opportunity of doing business with Whole Foods Market.

Beyond October – How Far Have We Come?

I Am for Peace A Student-Led Documentary Film Premiere

This has been the rallying cry of Perspectives Charter School students’ “I Am For Peace” campaign, which culminates with the Perspectives “I Am For Peace” Premiere on October 24th, 5:30-9:30pm. This event, at the Lacuna Artist Lofts in Pilsen, will celebrate the premiere of our student-led 15-minute “I Am For Peace” documentary. I hope you can join us!
