I Am for Peace A Student-Led Documentary Film Premiere

This has been the rallying cry of Perspectives Charter School students’ “I Am For Peace” campaign, which culminates with the Perspectives “I Am For Peace” Premiere on October 24th, 5:30-9:30pm. This event, at the Lacuna Artist Lofts in Pilsen, will celebrate the premiere of our student-led 15-minute “I Am For Peace” documentary. I hope you can join us!

 

Auburn Gresham Health Fair On The Block Sept. 25th!

The bi-annual Health Fair on the block will be held, Thursday, September 25th, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, right on 79th Street between Racine and Loomis. Join us for free health screenings and to get lots of information on how to improve your health and stretngthen the health of our community. AUGUST 5th “NATIONAL NIGHT OUT” AGAINST CRIME

MAYOR EMANUEL, POLICE AND COMMUNITIES CELEBRATE 30TH ANNUAL “NATIONAL NIGHT OUT” AGAINST CRIME. Events Planned in Every Police District to Build Relationships, Strengthen Communities. Celebrate at an event near you: 3rd (Grand Crossing) District: Meyering Park, 7140 S. King Dr. from 5-7 pm. Events include a safety equipment giveaway and other informational resources;  6th (Gresham) District: March for Peace. From 1210 W. 78th Street, step-off at 5:30, march to 6th District Police Sation, 7808 S. Halsted, where events and activities take place from 6-8:00 pm;  7th (Englewood) District: Hamilton Park, 7200 S. Normal from 11am to Sundown. Events include food, fun and festivities. Come show your neighborhood spirit!
