Join Chicago Teachers Union, Tuesday Oct. 22nd, at the Dusable Museum, on the 50th anniversary of the 1963 Boycott of Chicago Public Schools, when an estimated 250,000 Chicagoans – mostly CPS students – protested segregation and inequality.
Teen Girls Empowered Through Action (TGETA)
TGETA seeks five (5) young African American female professionals to mentor middle and high school female youth participants at the Rebecca Crown Center in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. This position is on a volunteer basis. Applications due 10/18!

BCFS Bridge Academy Saturday Enrichment Program is FREE and open to youth, ages 6-13 years old.
Fall 2013 Dates: Saturdays only, Oct. 12 – Dec. 14, 2013.
Fall 2013 classes include: Drill Team, Art class, Chess, Creative Writing, Digital Literacy. The program also offers a balanced and nutritional breakfast and lunch for all participants.
