Court Grants Motion By Nonprofits and Sprint to Extend WiMax Service Through March

Mobile Citizen update: This week Sprint joined us when we asked the court to extend a preliminary injunction that temporarily saved Internet access for the people on the WiMax network. Today, the court approved it. This is a step in the right direction for all of us. The revised shutdown schedule for the Chicago Area is February 2nd. If you have an active hotspot, you can transition to Sprint services. We will let businesses know, when new service can be added.

The January meeting is going to be very critical for our educaiton taskforce. As the information unfolds solidfiying the date, time and location, it will be critical to ensure the meeting is filled to capacity, to address this important phase of the plan. Our youth’s future education successful outcomes, are dependent on the strategies and goals that we collectively put in place, to drive needed improvements, in the schools and parent engagement activities across our neighborhoods.
