University of Chicago Medicine and its Community Partners invite you to the first Community GRAND ROUNDS of 2016, Feb. 23rd, 6pm, 6220 S Ingleside. This session is not to be missed. This event will expose guest to the topic of community violence and how families affected by have learned to cope. Free dinner will be served. Early arrival is strongly suggested!

Youth advocate receives Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award

On the 87th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and St. Bernard Hospital held its 19th annual celebration honoring the life and legacy of the civil rights champion. This year’s honoree, Michael Tidmore, is a restorative justice advocate in Englewood, who has become an example to at-risk youth that they can turn their lives around.

SCOTT JOPLIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FAMILIES, COME JOIN US, for an evening of FAMILY FUN! Board games, dancing, enrichment workshops just for parents to network, and even students vs. parent competition!  This is a time of continued healing, by just having some plain old fun.
